I’ve been an educator for 21 years. First grade was my home for 17 years, then I began a position as a reading intervention teacher. My passion has always been teaching reading and phonics. A few years ago our district began using the Orton Gillingham method and I absolutely love the multi-sensory techniques and the Science of Reading. I would love to share what I’ve learned and more!

About me & my family...

I was born and raised in O..H..I..O! I am married to my wonderful husband for 18 years and we have 2 amazing sons. Blake is in 10th grade and Brennan is working hard in 7th grade. They keep us so busy with their sports…baseball and basketball. We also love going to the movies…all Disney/Marvel are our favorites! Our family also enjoys going to Disney World and can’t wait to visit again soon! We also added a new puppy to our family last year, Rosey!

I’m in my 21st year of teaching. Most of those years I have taught 1st grade, but a few years ago I moved into the position of a reading intervention teacher….I love it! Teaching phonics and reading in small groups is very rewarding. The look on a student’s face when they make those learning connections is priceless.
